Camp Quest of Michigan's host camp, Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center, is offering a weekend family camp over Labor Day weekend.
Your family and friends can rent one of the modern cabins AND enjoy all of the great activities in camp! Each cabin has 12 bunks and a full bath and shower. Horseback riding and swimming is available, hiking, campfires, kayaking, and the camp has skateboard and rollerblade ramps! All eight cabins in the North Camp are available, which includes a covered pavilion and a campfire ring, enabling us to have an area of the camp exclusively for freethought/humanist/atheist families, if we act quickly.
Check-in is at 7:00 pm on August 29, departing after brunch on Monday September 1. All meals and activities are included!
Fees for the weekend are:
$173 per cabin, plus $94 per adult and $84 per child
(under 2 years old are free).
Interested families can reply to me for a registration form, which I can return by email. Print out and complete the form, send it with your payment to Sherman Lake noting that you are with the Camp Quest party. You do not need to send your registration or payment to Camp Quest of Michigan.
This weekend will allow our humanist families and friends to spend an enjoyable weekend together, and become familiar with our host camp. There will also be registration information available for Camp Quest of Michigan 2004, and some of the staff and counselors for you to meet!
